Commercial Advertiser, Aug 29, 1800, New York Herald, Mar 29, 1805, Independent Chronicle, May 28, 1807, and Middlesex Gazette, Sept 4, 1801. The New York Herald (1805) features a strongly worded letter from "General" Eaton chastising Congress for how they mistreated him over his role in capturing Tripoli with only a handful of Marines...
